Sturdy and solid, cast iron beds were popular at the turn of the century. They went out of production around 1919, due to Word War I. The design of each bed was laid out, and all joints and finials were hand-poured with cast iron, making those beds that survive today quite unique and a work of 1900s art.

We sandblast off the layers of old paint and rust, and a baked paint finish is applied. The brass balls and finials are hand-brushed, which result in a warm matte lustre. The largest cast iron beds were constructed in a double size, but we skillfully modify them to both queen & king sizes, and to accommodate modern box spring and mattress sets.
